No wonder why Microsoft is winning by leaps and bounds. They have better tools!

I said hey, we got color in SQL with Run SQL Scripts a few years ago! They say wow, we have color since day one, even back in the 1980's. Sad.

So, the migration to better tools in the Microsoft Environment continues. What can I say? Absolutely NOTHING! But, hang my head low in shame. I use DBU to look up the field names I forget. No Code Assist for field names in RUN SQL Scripts or IBM Data Studio.

OH well, at least the "DOS-GREEN-SCREEN" gives field code assist, so I often go back to that all the time. So sad...

But, I do love the feature to highlight my sql code in the LPEX editor, and run the SQL Script to test/Verify. That is AWESOME!

PS. Glad to hear about the Bug found for that small memory leak. Kudos!

A couple of things

1) Ken, given the size of your programs, I would recommend a larger memory
size in your eclipse.ini
-Xmx2048m

will give you more space to work

2) IBM Data Studio does have content assist. Ctrl-Space will give SQL
keywords and table and field names.

3) Everyone should be aware that we have found a bug yesterday that does
leak memory. There is a simple work around. Turn off the preference
Remote Systems>Remote Systems LPEX Editor>IBM i Parsers>ILE RPG>Categorize
named indicators as Fields in the outline view.
