Hello Everyone,
I am wondering if anyone has experience with multiple physical sites
that are using BPCS in separate databases but interfacing to one large
database for consolidation and reporting purposes?
We are in the process of moving from Version 4.0.03 to 6.0.04. That in
itself is enough of a change but on top of that we are also in the process
of being acquired by another company. This new company is very
decentralized while our present company provided many centralized services
(A/P, A/R and G/L). In our current 4.0.03 environment we are interfacing
to those corporate systems. But with the new company we (& BPCS) will be
responsible for for these tasks.
Our initial plan is to keep our current separate database setup for
each plant but interface BPCS-to-BPCS to create a consolidated General
Ledger and to allow for centralized A/P check payments and Credit
processing. Anyone out there using a setup similar to this? Or any ideas
on the feasibility/difficulty of this idea?
Thanks
Michael Lesher
