Hey Folks! This was "bounced" from the list from John Komp at Whittman-Hart. As this seems to be happening more frequently lately, I would remind all of you that BPCS-L does not accept submissions from non-member sites in order to prevent "spamming". Repeat the subscription process, replacing BPCS-ALT with BPCS-L in the text if you wish to submit from a location that does not actually receive the list. In a message dated 98-02-13 13:03:30 EST, you write: > Has anyone seen the SSA article (advertorial, really) in the latest issue > of Midrange Systems? It states that BPCS v6.0 is "100% web enabled and runs > on any JVM (Java Virtual Machine)". I've installed v6.0.x, up to v6.0.4, at > several AS/400 sites, and I didn't see anything about this. Perhaps it's > Unix only? It sounds like futures to me, but the article implies it's now. > > Anybody have further info? This sounds like the (to paraphrase) "Smash, Boom, Kazaam...Just a few comments about how fast you can install BPCS CS" ad that I have pinned to my bulletin board at the client site. We've been working on it since July, and our custom stuff is the only thing working _right_ so far... Dean Asmussen Enterprise Systems Consulting, Inc.
