Give yourself a pat on the > back, it's well deserved. Frankly, (and no offense intended) this brings up a good point. David's work is completely unfunded, and most everything comes out of his own pocket. A few of us long-time "listies" send him money and/or equipment from time-to- time, but he handles the majority by himself. He recently sent out a call for the donation of an outdated Pentium box on which to run the list, but received no response other than a major donation (which, in and of itself, will not pay for the system) from one of the other major content contributors to the list. I plead earlier for IBM to make a showcase of the list via an AS/400 donation, to no avail. My own donations have been rather inconsequential compared to the amount of time this list saves me on an annual basis so, in the spirit of telethons, _HERE'S_ the deal. I hereby challenge everyone on this list (excluding IBM'ers, whose input pays for itself) to donate the amount of money that this list has saved you over the past year to David to maintain the list. I'm out of town this week and don't have David's address handy, but you can write him at David@Midrange.Com and I'm sure he'll be glad to provide it. While non- profit, I do not believe that Midrange dot Com is "officially" non-profit, but writing your donation off to "Dues and Subscriptions" should gain you that tax deduction. I issue a special challenge to you "lurkers" out there that gain knowledge from the list, yet do not contribute your own to the pool (and your opinions _ARE_ important, even if _YOU_ don't think so). I implore _ALL_ of you to "ante up" -- knowledge is power, and David dedicates a _GREAT_ deal of time to the list and guarantees that said knowledge comes free of advertising. Unless _WE_ assist David in his endeavours, I do not see how he will be able to keep www.midrange.com as free of advertising as he has the lists. Come on, it's the _least_ you can do... +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
