MRP 600 in v6.0.02 PLF

I'm being called in to a client site running BPCS Mixed Mode v6.0.02
PLF, who is experiencing an intermittent problem with MRP600. Sometimes
this program will stay active with job status RUN without any apparent
activity(No record reads, no record writes). Has anyone got any
experience with similar problems concerning MRP explosions?
