I too, am new to EDI but have had a crash course in ECM and TLE.  You are
correct, the remote is your trading partner and the local is your company.

Below is a screen print of a page for setting up a Address Link in Partner
Profile Maintenance.  The info has been changed to protect the innocent.
Some how I dont think this is correct.
I just dont think the Remote and Local are or should be the same.
Let me guess...Remote is our trading partner, and Local is us?
