We also run 6.0.04 HP/Oracle.
We do not allow A/P keyers to be on BPCS while checks are being written. We
have encountered various problems with the check-writing process since
implementing this software (slow response time, PC locks up, processes do
not complete properly causing tables to not be updated correctly, etc.).
Therefore, we schedule A/P keying time around the check run. This seems to
keep our processing problems to a minimum.

Subject: Invoice Entry and Make Payments
We are running 6.04 HP/ORACLE...
When one of our A/P people runs Make Payments and generates
cheques, all
of our other A/P machines that were in Invoice Entry freeze until
the
cheques are actually printing - then they are OK. This happens even
when
Invoice Entry is being run for a different company. Has anyone else
had
this problem?
-Christine
