Wade,

To determine differences between how the A and the Y will impact the
inventory subsystem go to Transaction Effect Maintenance (INV150) and
compare the flag settings of the two transactions. Use the help key on each
field that is different to determine what result the difference will cause.

You should also check and see how each transaction is mapped to the G/L. If
A's and Y's are set differently, it could impact Inventory, Inventory
Variance, and possibly even COGS accounts (depending on how the models are
setup). If you use CEA, then check Event Determination Setup for INV920 and
look at the event that each reason code calls. If it's the same event then
from a purely G/L standpoint there is no difference. If they call different
events, you may need to go to Event Setup and see what Model(s) each event
calls. Different Events could possibly still call the same model(s). If the
different Events do call the same Model there would still be no difference
between A and Y from a G/L perspective.  If Event Determination uses an
Event Macro then take two prozac and call me in the morning.
