Patrick.
In order to close the shop order, the outside operation purchase order must
be closed. It sounds as if the quantity ordered is greater than the
quantity received. If you will not be doing anymore with the purchase
order, change the quantity ordered to equal quantity received. This should
close the PO (if it has already been costed) and allow for the closing of
the shop order.

Hi Guys ,
I identified a problem that does not allow shop orders to close
automatically and would like any advise , solutions to the problem.
It only happens on sub contract operations where the qty received is LESS
than the original order qty. The cell leader makes the decision
that the rest of the outstanding qty will never come in. The shop order
qty is reduced to the qty received and the operational line also for the
sub contract op, the p/o now reflects the recieved qty. To the best of my
knowlege the the completion flag OCMPL is only updated thru the 00
transaction.if i try to force close the shop order , i am told i cannot as
there are outstanding operations or the p/o has not been costed (which it
has). Anybody met this before Brgds patrick
