Well perhaps you want to look into this for the future ... my manual on this topic (actually a few pages in a larger manual) is at the office, so I may post some more specifics to you later in this thread, or perhaps it will become the name of a particular message queue (was 400 power crash). The deal is that there are some OPTIONAL message queues that are not well documented. You have to know about them & set them up. If they exist on your AS/400, then OS/400 will send certain types of traffic to them, that is exceedingly helpful in diagnosing certain types of problems. No such animal. I presume you meant the QSYSOPR or *SYSOPR message queue. Because this message queue gets cleared at IPL, and wraps/truncates at a certain size, and can be cleared at will, you're not guaranteed to find critical information there.
