We have BPCS 6004 running on UNIX with Informix. We cannot access the database with any programs in the BPCS client, we just get 'Startin program, please wait' & that has to be close with Wndows-NT task manager. We can use the test database ok with the BPCS client & we can access the live database OK via ODBC drivers using MicrosoftAccess & the tables look alright! We've tried restoring the database from tape & when we do; #oninit #ssa_startup we get; Sending output to nohup.out Tue, Nov 27, 2001 10:58:32 AM: /home/ssa/bpcs/ssa_startup: Starting BPCS V6.0.0.4 Tue, Nov 27, 2001 10:58:32 AM: startup: Creating Global Descriptor cache Tue, Nov 27, 2001 10:58:58 AM: startup: Starting batch daemon Tue, Nov 27, 2001 10:58:58 AM: startup: Creating message file cache 2001/11/27 10.58.59.13: Error: msgf: 7926: 7926: Prepare qid for cmd=select msg6 : errno 2: No such file or directory 2001/11/27 10.58.59.14: DB Error: msgf: 7926: 7926: db_open_catalog: CDC_SetupS 2001/11/27 10.58.59.14: DB Error: msgf: 7926: 7926: ldbd_open_catalog: db_open_ Assertion failed: ch!= NULL, file /sablime/builds/odw2.0/src/odw20_62.17X/ore/l4 /bpcs/6004/etc/startup[82]: 7982 Abort(coredump) Tue, Nov 27, 2001 10:59:01 AM: /home/ssa/bpcs/ssa_startup: Starting BPCS V6.0.0.
