Short answer ---- with extreme caution.

There is no BPCS function for physical delete or purge, so you are on your 
own. Check the archives from Sept under this thread 'Purging BPCS Files of 
Items not in IIM' 
It is a beginning to the list of other files you need to consider, and may 
help define the scope plus a couple options.  If you elect a homegrown 
solution, it is possible to use SQL deletes but those are not reliable. Best 
to create own testable/repeatable utility to do the delete based on a user 
submitted list of items.
