We have been off OSG for some time.
We were stable on upgrades (had not needed a BMR in a year) before dripping
them.
Given impact of recession on our biz I not see any push for any upgrade for
years away.
I miss the data base of resources, even though it was a humongous pain to
navigate.
My management and users love the fact that when we have a problem it is
solved by the other tech support usually within two days, sometimes faster,
when with OSG it usually took SSA a week to understand our problem let
alone solve it, and that we get this service for considerably less money
than we were paying SSA. I do not think we have had a single problem that
our replacement tech support has been unable to solve, unlike the situation
with OSG.
However, since we are on ... if not call tech support, no pay anything,
there are some problems that management has said are not worth calling tech
support on.
When we went off OSG, I gave my management a list of FIVE places that offer
BPCS tech support, and suggested that I could dig up more if need be. I
was told no need, they went and got bids for what could be offered to us,
and I believe it was not price but services that drove who won.

I've just come off of OGS and I would like to know how many others are in
this status. Who among you are no longer on OGS?
Thanks, John
