We have V6.1 in production and V8.2.01 on our system for evaluation.  I
won't bother giving you exact figures, because who knows what the "size" of
the library really means, but the files library is is about 2% larger in
V8.2.01, the objects library is about 27% larger, and because the .01 is a
PTF distribution, the PTF library is 78% larger.  I hope that helps with
your calculations.  I can't help you with CPU usage, because we only have
one or two users in the test system at any given time, so there's no way to
compare to a full system load.

Hi all

We are currently running mixed mode V6.1.on an iSeries. I have been asked
for ball park estimates of the effect of upgrading to V8 for budget
considerations. eg. 10% more disk, 10% more CPU, 5% more memory. Does
anyone
have a handle on this ?
Note - I do not want consultations/surveys/sizing documents, just a
ballpark
figure.
