We have been in discussion with SSA concerning getting back on OGS. In that, we have discussed several what-if scenarios in the mean time. During a conference call with our SSA sales rep, he mentioned that in a worse-case scenario, they would supply us with a temporary key. This was a verbal commitment and we have seen nothing in writing. I would contact an SSA sales rep and get them to commit to something. Unfortunately, you will probably receive a lot of pressure to get back on OGS and may not get anything in writing. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jonathan Oei" <jonatho@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bpcs-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 09, 2004 4:23 PM Subject: Disaster Recovery/Temporary Key Availability > Just to see if the situation has changed: > > In the Archives, getting a DR key for testing purposes > if you were not signed up with OGS was impossible. > > There was talk that if you did have a real outage, that > SSA would 'negotiate' a payment for a key, with a figure > of $10,000 being mentioned back in April 2002. > > What is the current status of DR keys/payments? > > (We are updating the DR plan and are not currently on OGS, > so trying to determine costs.) > > [ Currently using BPCS 6.101 full gui/heavily modified on > a P30-tier machine ] > > Thanks > > > _______________________________________________ > This is the SSA's BPCS ERP System (BPCS-L) mailing list > To post a message email: BPCS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/bpcs-l > or email: BPCS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/bpcs-l. > >
