we're talking about the configurator not the general ledger. there is an option in the configurator that seems to tie configuration strings to a template. we're believe this give you to option to enter a configuration string and if what you enter matches a 'template' then you can use a predefined part number rather than generating a new order specific configured part number. this all happens around the CFG572 screen, but we're not sure exactly what is supposed to happen and how to use th template. >>> KASP6281@xxxxxxx 03/31/05 02:08PM >>> It would depend if you are talking about configuring the postings into the ledger and have established some templates to copy for different reasons such as item classes cross referenced to different accounts or configuration management which is something entirely different. The latter would be something like setting up making pizzas and you can have different ingredients and maybe cook in a smaller oven if it is a small pizza or perhaps cook longer if it is a deep dish, etc. Determining what the definition of "configuration template" would be trying to understand the context of what prompted you to ask the question in the first place.
