I am sending you by separate e-mail, outside of the list (because you cannot do attachments in BPCS_L) copy of a Microsoft article about how to get AS/400 data into Microsoft Excel Cells using SQL/400 via what are called Microsoft Macros ... the article does not explain SQL ... I had separate guidance to my co-workers on that topic ... of how to use SELECT and please not experiment with other SQL commands that can mess with the BPCS data (a whole other security sub-topic). To use some of this stuff effectively you have to be knowledgeable over a spectrum of specialities. Since I am not an expert in the whole spectrum, I may be using some of the terminology incorrectly.

I didn't know that SQL/400 commands can be embedded in Excel cells. Is it native Excel feature or is it via VBA? Can you tell me how?
