   Depending on your version of BPCS, there are security problems running it
   that may be intolerable.  Here's what happened when we were on BPCS tech
   support.
   * I could not get XREF to run & asked what I was doing wrong.
   * To get it to work, they told me, I had to sign on as the SSA group
   profile, and I had to make that profile a master security AS/400 profile. 
   Well since 100% of our users are members of the SSA group profile, that
   would make EVERYONE a master AS/400 security officer, which is the same as
   having no security at all.
   * So one weekend, I did as OSG had said, got all the XREF reports, then
   put the security back at working.  XREF had generated door stop reports
   that were unmanageable.

   Today, I use GO CMDREF then run the AS/400 tool on all types of objects
   associated with some program.  I also have a CL that does it on ALL
   contents of ALL BPCS libraries, to an *OUTFILE then use Query/400 to get a
   list of everything that calls some program, or updates some file.  I
   recognize that this only gets the stuff that BPCS has hard coded.  Some
   BPCS programs identify the name of some object at time of execution, and
   this would not show up on the IBM cross referencing tool.

       Does anyone use the BPCS menu XREF?  I am wondering if it is reliable,
     also is there a way to control what libraries it looks at?  I am new to
     BPCS.  In my past experience I have used tools like Hawkeye Pathfinder. 
     I am wondering if we need to purchase a cross referencing tool or will
     menu XREF show me what programs certain files used and etc.  Also is
     there somewhere I can find some documentation on BPCS XREF.
