DeeDee,

We are on 6.04, so not sure how much of this will be relevant, but for
information...

We built up an EDI application using various in-house written programs
and bought-in 3rd party software.

We took LANSA's Integrator application which gets the orders onto our
server via XML documents. We then have in-house programs that get these
onto our AS/400. From there we manipulate them a little and finally pass
them into the BPCS ECM module where they are posted to BPCS.

We don't yet export shipments back to our customers.

As a couple of our programmers became more adept at .NET programming, we
have since replaced the LANSA Integrator application with more in-house
programs written in .NET But LANSA gave us a good start to begin
with.

Once the orders are loaded into ECM, they flow into BPCS seamlessly.

Hope some of this may be of help.

Tom

Subject: [BPCS-L] EDI Software with off-the-self Integration to
BPCS4.05CD...

Hi All,

Anyone out there still on BPCS 4.05 CD w/ an EDI package that imports
orders and exports shipments (ASNs) somewhat automatically to & from
BPCS? Ideally, I'd like to purchase EDI software that comes with an
off-the-shelf interface to/from BPCS 4.05 CD...

We are considering going to LX 8.4, then acquiring ECM ~just looking at
other alternatives. Our EDI orders are makeup less than 10% of our
sales, but the few trading partners we do interact via EDI, are key to
our company... Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Best Regards,
