George,
I believe that you are looking at the data file field definitions for the particular files listed below. In some cases, that I can not expound upon, the data file field definitions don't always reflect what actually happens to the record Id's.
When the data definition source was created and subsequently updated with the releases of BPCS/Lx the technical person might have received the changes for the source from a design document that contained, as most do, enhancements for the future that never came to fruition.
If you query the files I don't believe that you will see any record ID's in the files accept for the first 2 listed per file, i.e. for the ILN - Lot master file of LN, LZ.
I wouldn't always use the dffd for the files as a rule for what might happen to the files.

Can someone help me with meaning of P,L,W - or is my information wrong ?
