If your program calls _C_TS_malloc or you specify option TERASPACE(*YES *TSIFC) or option STGMDL(*TERASPACE) on the compile command, your program can allocate up to 2 GB contiguous bytes (with a single allocation, of course).

The largest single allocation is about 16MB. The size of default heap is
about 4GB per activation group.
