I'm wondering if I need to install 5733XT2 options 4 and 5 which
install later versions of *SRVPGMS in a different library.
It might be that these integrate ICU and provide support for

format-number().

Has anybody tried this?

Unfortunately ICU was never used for XT1/XT2.
