What is the correct syntax for open parms to the _Ropen() function? Your
sample code does not have a coma separating them but IBMs example in the
manual does? I thought maybe the open parms are not being set correctly at
first but having changed to both formats with same result seems to bounce
that idea? Just for future reference really.

I guess I'd step back a bit and get the update-with-nulls function working
in general without using the data from the journal entry, but just
temporarily use some hard-coded data for a specific file where you only put
the '1' value for fields that you know are null capable.

Maybe it's the journal entry, or the interpretation of the journal entry,
that's at fault.
