You may be comparing to COBOL/400, but I'm not. I'm comparing it to ILE COBOL
which has had millions of $ pumped into it over the last few years. The pace of
enhancements has slowed over the last couple of releases but it was a brand new
compiler for V3R1.

Lets compare apple to apples. Comparing with a PC COBOL is pointless - I can't
use that on my AS/400. A more valid comparison would be with Java which at least
runs on the AS/400.
