R: Duplicate Logicals

Hello, Vikram. 
Technical overhead not that much: the system recognizes that logicals are
the same, but i strongly suggest not to have same - meaning objects in
different libraries. Is there a reason for that or it has simply been a
mistake or an 'historical' issue ?

Hi,

In our AS/400 system there are some duplicate Logical Files which are
being used i.e. same file is existing with a different name. There are
around 7 such duplicate logical files. What could be the overhead on the
system due this repetition of same logical files?
