[COBOL400-L] Level Checks on files for cobol programs

hey all,

Do COBOL programs produce level checks on changed files, the same as RPG
does?

we've got a mix of cobol-38, 400 and ILE programs.  some have program
defined files, some use /copy books, some use COPY DDS-ALL-FORMATS.  Some
have EXTERNALLY-DESCRIBED-KEY, some not.

obviously, the program defined files won't crap out, but what about the
ones that copy dds?
