Can you clear a physical file if you are referencing the logical file in a
program and use OPEN OUTPUT? On one of my test programs, I was using the
OPEN OUTPUT command and it gives file status of '00' but the physical file
is not cleared. I would think I should get some kind of file status other
than '00' if doing OPEN OUTPUT with a Logical File and it isn't going to
clear the Physical file.
