I am assuming that this is an additional Domino server, and you specified
*Partiotion or *All for advanced services.  Does your other server work?
If this isn't the case, try running the cfgdomsvr command again and for
advanced services choose *None, or take *partition out if you need other
advanced services.  You can always run the cfgdomsvr command later if you
need to install partioned servers.  You can also check out the Domino for
AS/400 problem determination guide at
http://www.lotus.com/developers/redbook.nsf/  If you can give me more
details, such as version of domino, os, and your existing config I might be
able to help.

Hello All Users,

I am a new user of the Domino400 server and I am experiencing the following
error on the AS/400 when trying to start the server. Does anyone have an
idea  what I can do in order to resolve this issue?

Message ID . . . . . . : LNT0931 Severity . . . . . . . : 30

Message type . . . . . : Diagnostic

Date sent . . . . . . : 06/21/00 Time sent . . . . . . : 17:18:10

Message . . . . : Unexpected error encountered by QNNINAPI, reason code 6.

Cause . . . . . : An unexpected error was encountered by the QNNINAPI API
in

the GET_PARTITION_NUMBER procedure. The reason code is 6.

-- 1 = Error opening file . Errno 3401.

-- 2 = Error creating temporary file. Errno 3401.

-- 3 = Error reading from file . Errno 3401.

-- 4 = Error writing to temporary file. Errno 3401.

-- 5 = Error determining data directory to get partition number.

-- 6 = Error opening partition file /notes/Domino400/.sgf.notespartition.

Errno 3401.

-- 7 = Error reading partition file /notes/domino400/.sgf.notespartition.

Errno 3401.

-- 8 = Partition file /notes/domino400/.sgf.notespartition contains a

partition number of 0.

-- 9 = Error getting handle for user profile.

-- 10 = Error switching to user profile.

-- 11 = Error opening descriptor for translation. Errno 3401.

-- 12 = Error during translation. Errno 3401.

Recovery . . . :

-- 1 - 12 All the above reason codes are indicative of something very

unusual. Save this job log and contact your service representative.

Technical description . . . . . . . . : Errors have occurred during

processing by the QNNINAPI API.
