Registering secondary Domino server

Thanks for all the replies on moving from NT to the 400.  The latest thing
I have run up against is the new redbook says I have to build a temporary
server on the 400 to hold the Name and address book.  When I try to
register it following the directions below (from Redbook - domino for AS400
R5 implementation) it returns the message that is below the steps.

Select ADMINISTRATION server from bookmarks
Click on Configuration tab
on Tasks select server and click on All Server Documents
Select Registration
        under registration click Server
Fill out the form and click Register:

I get the following message.


The Address Book you are registering the server to does not contain a
$Servers view,  In order to register a server you must use a Public Address
Book.  You can replace the design of the address Book you are using with
the Public Address Book template.

I checked with my vendor and he sent the following, but that does not seem
to be the problem:

this message looks like you're using a personal address book rather then a
public address book. if you are using r5, it can get confusing as to where
you
are when you are registering a server. you must make certain that when you
start
the registration process you are pointing to the domino server and the
public
address book. not sure of the exact steps, but i think this might be the
problem. hope this helps.

The NT server was upgraded from 4.6.7 to R5.03 a couple of months ago, and
it is possible I missed updating one or more files.
