There are several possibilities why this isn't working.

1. Did you enable SMTP-routing on the Server-Document ?
2. Do you have a Domain document ?
3. Do you have a Connection document ?
4. How does your Configuration document look like ?

Then, are there any messages on the Notes log, or do the mails simply remain in
the mail.box ?
Do the senders get any non-delivery notifications ?

Thema: RE: Converting from SMTP MSF To Domino ..

I currently use Microsoft exchange on a dial out basis to send and receive
Email from my NT network.
I have some people using Lotus Notes.
The problem I am having is that the Lotus Notes server does not exchange
Email with anyone except it's clients.
Using outlook with the exchange server I can send and receive email to
anyone.
Using Notes I can only send and receive email to those people on notes.
I currently have a DSL line that we use to connect to the Internet.
We can access the internet via Notes or via the NT network.
How can I setup Notes to do the same as the Microsoft Exchange (without
dialing out) using the DSL line?

Sincerely,

Subject: Converting from SMTP MSF To Domino ..

  Afternoon,

I am moving a client who has been using Native SMTP to send email
to
customers over to a native domino environment. While I have a pretty good
handle on what needs to be changed, we are not sure we have identified all
of the snddst / api calls in the existing code. What happens if it uses
these older command, while Domino is providing the SMTP interfaces instead
of
  MSF ??

Also, rather than develop our own API's this customer is wondering
what's available to generate mail merge letters, and other Domino notes,
We will be using 5.0.4 and DxF on an AS/400 Native System with an second
Domino Server on a Netfinity on the side by for DxF rendering..

          TIA,
