1) We've set up our 400 to automatically get the pattern files 4 times a
day. I recommend this, unless the employment situation is so bad where you
are from that you get a warm fuzzy by hiring people to click on icons.
2) They are right. In our /servername/notes/data directory we'll see
several files named:
Object link
lptvpn.877
lptvpn.878
lptvpn.880
lptvpn.882
lptvpn.884
lptvpn.887
lptvpn.889
lptvpn.891

See, you're already behind. Older engines had a dollar sign in the name.
If you actually read the installation instructions, they said to rename
these files to take out the dollar sign.

Hello All,

Is anyone out there using ScanMail 1.9 for Notes on their iSeries? We are
on version 5.0.6a. We downloaded and installed the program, latest engine,
latest fix pick, and latest pattern file. (889 I think). Everything has
installed apparently without a problem however, when I load the TMMSCAN or
REPSCAN tasks, console gives me 'A problem with the scanner was found'
message and will not scan. I tested it with EICAR.

I'm not sure I have the pattern file in the right place. There tech support
is looking for a /notes/data directory structure on the IFS. Ours is
/lotus/domino/dominosvrnam.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Mark

P.S. Sorry about the double post.
