That EnableJavaAgents sounds familiar.

1. I would be guessing that they put more restrictions on Java agents
versus other agents in case some customers fear that more damage may be
done. However, isn't 0 the universal for Off?

2. I don't know what issues you'll have.

Hi Rob,

Everything seems OK. The only change I needed to make was to add
EnableJavaAgents=0 to the NOTES.INI file.

2 questions.

1: What are JavaAgents?
2: It says to upgrade to Domino 5.XX prior to going to V4R5. As we didn't,
do you think we will have any issues when upgrading Domino from 4.6 to 5.X
on an OS/400 V4R5 system?

Thanks Rob.

Nathan

Hi Everyone,

We have just upgraded to V4R5 from V4R3 of OS/400.

I think everything was OK with our Notes/Domino after our first IPL but I
can't be sure. But after another IPL the AMGR and HTTP jobs were ending and
in turn ending everything else.

I found an article about disabling the Java Agents by setting
EnableJavaAgents=0 in NOTES.INI. I did this and all is OK, for now.

1: What are Java Agents?
2: After we upgraded we loaded the Database PTF's the Java PTF's and the
latest CUM. So why, how, could this happen?

We are running Domino version 4.6b.03.

TIA

Nathan Simpson
