If you set up password recovery on the certificate before you registered the user id then you can use this to recover and reset a password .

To check this go to configuration tab (in the Notes Administrator) and choose "Extract Recovery Password" from the certification menu on the right - it will ask you to select the id you want to recover from. It will then give you a character string which you can use under File - Tools - Recover ID to reset a password.

If it comes up with an error saying invalid or non existent recovery information then password recovery was not set up properly before this user was created.  In this case you have no option other than to recertify the user setting them a new id as you do so.

I am running Notes 5.0.5 on Domino 5.0.5. I am wondering if there is a
simple way for me as the administrator to reset or change a user's password?

Any help is appreciated,
Chris
