When our Domino box used to run on a different iSeries we used LEI to fire
up Domino. There is a way to call LEI from a 400 program and it is as
simple as CALL LEIACT with some parameters. For more information on LEI:

I too went looking for a solution to a like problem a while back. The
only
answer I found that had any promise was to use Java/Corba. When I hit this
brick wall, I decided it was not worth it at the time and I did not
research it any further.

The big hurdle to your situation is that you have TWO iSeries boxes. One
with Domino and the other without. All the third party tools I researched
seem to require having Domino on the box where the tool would be used.
With Java/Corba, you can take the Domino jar files and put them on the
non-Domino box and write a java app to access them. You should then be
able to access the Java app from your RPG program (providing you are at
V5R1+ on OS/400). Sorry, I have not tried this or have any examples. Just
thought I would tell you what I had found.

Hello everyone,

I have been given the task to create a Call to a Domino Agent from and RPG
program.

The objective is to be able to tell the Domino agent that records in our
DB2 UDB iSeries
have changed and we need to "wakeup the Domino Agent".

We have our production data in the iSeries "BOX1" and the Domino Data in
the Domino iSeries "BOX2"

Can somebody provide me with an example or get my feet wet ....

I have written many trigger programs before in RPG ILE and we also have
our
Domino expert that have created different agents.
We pretty much need direction on how to link these two.

I have researched a few sources and all they say .. "Yes, sure you can do
that ..and no details .."

Thanks in advance for your advice and guidence.
