Paul,

Mike's questions are right on - volume and network traffic play a huge role
in how you handle anything.  We have our web site on an NT platform and I
use LSX to access our AS400 database real time (including AS400 program
calls).  So far, no complaints about speed, but we don't have a high volume
of requests either (200 - 400 a day).

If you need real time data, running a Domino agent (no matter how frequent)
to keep databases in sync won't work.  Sooner or later someone will miss a
piece of information due to a timing problem.
