I'm only pointing this out because I've done it too many times myself, but
did you make sure to FTP the file in BINARY mode?

Have a senior person who saves a backup of his mail in a Notes database
located on a ZIP disk. Recently he called and said the ZIP disk is full
and could I help him create another. I showed him how to create an empty
copy of his mail file on the ZIP and placed a shortcut to it on the
Bookmark bar. Later he calls back that he cannot find the original file
on the old ZIP disk. I can see the file in Explorer and from the AS/400
green screen where I FTPd it to the DOmino server run fixup tools. The
Administrator tools say no file found and the Admin client will not
display it. I'm guessing when he saved (or tried to save) the last file
on the ZIP there was not enough room and did not close itself out
properly. Any body had this issue? Any suggestion to open the file?
These are high level legal documents so I have a lot of pressure to
recover them. TIA.
