Gary,

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=463&context=SSKTMJ&q=move+first+server&uid=swg21087009&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en+en

The platforms aren't really important, but it's helpful if your old and new
servers are on the same network so you can copy the files either via the
filesystem or FTP.

It's actually pretty easy. I couldn't believe that this is all you need to
do. I've gone from iSeries to Windows and Windows to iSeries.

Due to performance issues and monetary contraints we are looking at
removing several R6.0.1 partitioned (not LPAR) domino servers off an old
720, AS/400 server with no upgrade path. Currently the 720 holds our
domino admin server, the apps development server, an apps test server
(these 3 will remain and stay operational), a mail server, a Notes
application server, a web application server, and an SMTP server. The
last 4 domino servers are planned to be placed on a Quad Windows 2000
server, 3 GB RAM, 263GB disk which will be partitioned into the required 4
domino servers. The mail server, once moved, will be returned to a
clustered environment existing with a 270, AS/400 and it's associated mail
server, app server, and SMTP server.

Having not done this before I would appreciate any advice that will
minimize potential issues - or comments (particularly if I should rethink
my plan). I looked through Domino/IBM documentation but they don't
address moving servers around, and associated concerns, too much.
Appreciate any input.
