We've set up SSL on LDAP. Got that all done, (previously I messed
something up on the certificates). You can test LDAP with MSIE's browser
by
ldap://myservername
But once we went to SSL we had to use:
ldap://myservername.dekko.com:636
We had it set to redirect, but it didn't.
ldap://myservername
ldap://myservername.dekko.com
ldaps://myservername
ldaps://myservername.dekko.com
none of the 4 above worked. Spent a few hours on the phone with Lotus.
They can't get it to work in their office either.
Adding the .dekko.com was because of the way we created our certificate.
ldaps just plain isn't supported

In theory, if redirection is working,
ldap://myservername.dekko.com
should reroute to ssl.
