I did some checking and using the blacklist feature on our symantec
gateway we blocked 10,808 messages yesterday using the blacklisting. Using
their heuristic engine on a low setting, we blocked another 8,664
messages.

We have the options of using three blacklists. We had the following
results from these blacklists:

bl.spamcop.net - 6,770 blocks
sbl.spamhaus.org - 3,960 blocks
relays.ordb.org - 78 blocks

All of these are free lists. I am actually going to remove the
relays.ordb.org and add the suggested blackholes.easynet.nl to see if we
catch any more (since the blocking by relays.ordb.org was negligible).

Re: DNS Blacklist Services

Paste these in. Really helped us:
blackholes.easynet.nl; relays.ordb.org

Definitely turn this on also:
Verify that local domain recipients exist in the Domino Directory: Enabled
This was the #1 reason that we upgraded to R6. Prior to that our mail.box

was getting stuffed with junk mail.

Blacklisting definitely helped with spam but that other thing stopped us
from having to clean out mail.box 2 times a day to keep mail rolling.

DNS Blacklist Services

I have an AS400 with Domino 6.02. I want to give the DNS Blacklist a try.

Can anyone who uses this recommend some good public DNS Blacklist Service

Providers?

Low latency and zero to low cost are a plus.

Thanks
Herb
