Not only does a Sametime server serve all those internal Sametime clients, 
but have you seen the web based capability of Sametime?  Granted you can 
bind by port instead of address.  But it isn't as 'cool'.  And if you 
decide upon the Sametime web stuff ask the network guy if he would like to 
put http:mywebsite:port/etc for the sites he goes to.
