In browsing the archives for March 2004, I read a thread that talked about
raising the QNOTES profile to a user type of *SECOFR. In my preparation
for upgrading to R6.5.1 and Scanmail 2.6 SP1, the readme.txt that
accompanied SM 2.6 SP1 makes no mention of changing any attributes of the
QNOTES profile. Is this something that was an issue in SM 2.6 which has
been corrected in SM 2.6 SP1?

In the readme.txt, in section 6 (Setting up scanmail ), the CFGSM command
instructions appear a bit confusing. (I intend to install scanmail to all
of my (2) partitions.) The paragraph that explains the temporary
directories - it's just plain confusing. Can I just use '*smln/' as shown
in the readme?

And finally, also in the example, the ScanMail Serial Number parm shows a
value of 'SMLN_SerialNumber'. Is this the actual value for this parm? I
assume it is and then during the registration process I will supply the
actual serial number. Is that correct?

Regards, Jerry
