Good luck with that Mike! I had an incident open with Lotus and here is what the developer sent me (after months of working with Lotus) on PMR 89549, 499: "12/16/03 - Email from John with SPR Chris, the enhancement request (for enhancing the Sametime screen sharing performance) I created is SPR #JWER5UAR2H. Sametime screen sharing takes 2-3 seconds versus Webex which is instantaneous." Three suggestions: 1. Anyone having problems with this, CALL LOTUS! Refer to the SPR above and let them know that we would like to see this addressed. The more people that call about this the more chances there are that Lotus will address it faster. 2. Using ST 6.5.1, you CAN configure it to "Force Screen Sharing to use 8-bit color". Though this would not be good if you needed to share something with full color. 3. Use the whiteboard with files attached as much as possible. This is a better response time, but may not be beneficial for sharing certain file types or screens/applications.
