I am running the following:
09/29/2004 15:23:06
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
09/29/2004 15:23:06 Trend ScanMail(R) Mail Scanner, Release 2.6 SP1
09/29/2004 15:23:06 Copyright (C) 1989-2004, Trend Micro Inc., All
Rights Reserved
09/29/2004 15:23:06
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
09/29/2004 15:23:06 MailScan: Build 1557 Mar 30 2004 13:31:57
09/29/2004 15:23:06 MailScan: Using Scan Engine 7.000-1011
09/29/2004 15:23:07 MailScan: Using pattern file version 2.184.00
09/29/2004 15:23:07 MailScan: Loading R5 Mime Support library
09/29/2004 15:23:07 MailScan: Ready

and have been for awhile. I noticed that in this version there is no
SMLicense=... line in my notes.ini. It stores the serial number in the
smconf.nsf. Most of the servers are running fat, dumb and happy. However
some of them generate:
09/29/2004 06:00:16 ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR
09/29/2004 06:00:16 Your License-Key of TM MailScanner is invalid.
09/29/2004 06:00:16 Programm aborted. Your Mail stay DEAD in MAIL.BOX
09/29/2004 06:00:16 ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR
(Love the way they spell "program" and "stays".)

Opened up a case with Trend. They suggested putting in a SMLicense line
back in the notes.ini. Now, another gent there suggested changing the
serial number in the smconf.nsf to something invalid and changing it back,
then tell tmmscan quit followed by load tmmscan. Both solutions worked.
The second failed after a spell (perhaps until the nightly server bounce).
The adding of the SMLicense is working (but I haven't done the nightly
server bounce yet). I've got other Domino partitions on this same lpar
that are not having any issues with scan mail - working fine. Same key in
the smconf.nsf and no key in notes.ini.
