Glad to hear that you're talking to lotus. Normally you only restore the data directory for the one server. Then you run the ADDDOMSVR. Spoke with Lotus Tech and they stated that the client use the CFGDOMSVR with *Remove to remove the incorrectly restored server. The customer is in the process of running the CFGDOMSVR and *Add to recreate the server. I had them make copies of the *.id's and notes.ini before performing this process and to copy them back once the installation is complete. Am waiting to hear back from them. Will update the resolution. Thanks for your help Richard A. Frye Software Consulting Hardware, Inc. If you do a WRKDOMSVR, which servers do you see? If you use option 12 on each of these servers which directory do they point to? WRKLNK shows that it points to the server that was restored from the other server and not the one the system is suppose to see, the backup domino server. Richard A. Let's say your have these IFS directories: /PRIMARY/Notes/data/... /SECONDARY/Notes/data/... /QIBM/UserData/LOTUS/LOTUS_SERVERS If you restored everything from the other iSeries you would have: - restored the new /PRIMARY - not touched the existing /SECONDARY - clobbered the LOTUS_SERVERS file with what was on the other iSeries Hopefully in the process the ownership of these IFS files and directories didn't get changed from QNOTES also. Any of that a possibility? Can you check that out? This is how you check? WRKLNK '/QIBM/UserData/LOTUS/LOTUS_SERVERS' 5 to view. What servers do you see? 9 to view authority. Is qnotes still the owner? There is a technote somewhere on how to do this. We did consolidate a couple of iSeries into one partition. During the restore, someone restored the primary boxes Domino. Now the backup box has both servers in the IFS of Lotus. Neither of the servers will boot. I believe that all I need to do is delete the copy of the primary server's version of Domino off the bacup box and then try to restart Domino. Before performing this action I wanted to check if anyone has dealt with a similiar issue. This is the first time that I have heard of this occuring Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Richard A.
