Mark, I guess everyone voted with silence that they think this i= s OK. I think you will be fine too. By default, Domino listens to all IP addresses, so unless you chang= ed it, you don't need to edit Notes.ini If your two servers are not inside the same DNN you may have to upd= ate the connection document(s) for mail routing/replication. BTW, on the AS/400 you don't have to delete the IP interfaces, you = can just "disable them" and set them not to auto-start. Mak= es it quicker if you need to revert back for whatever reason. ======================= ============= Tom Kreimer Information Alternatives -----domino400-bounces+tkreimer=infoalt.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrot= e: ----- To: Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 <domino400@xxxxxxxxxxx= m> From: MWalter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: domino400-bounces+tkreimer=infoalt.com@midrange.= com Date: 01/27/2005 10:09AM Subject: Re: changing IP Address Hello all, We have two Domino servers. One is the plane Mail server that our= users connect to and one is just the SMTP Server that connects to th= e internet. We are purchasing a Barracuda Anti Spam appliance. From the docum entation that I've read, you need to point you MX Records to the addres= s of the Barracuda, and the Barracuda points to the SMTP server. Inst= ead of trying to get in touch with AT&T, which is another conversat= ion, I thought of just changing the IP address of our SMTP server. I = guess I'd need to Delete the IP Route on our iSeries and recreate it wi= th the new IP, then change the IP address in the Notes.ini file. Us= ers do not connect to this server, so I don't believe tha= t there are any location documents to be altered. Am I missing anything? Thanks, Mark Mark D.
