We have the system set to *WRAP.

This is something new related to the last load of V5R2 PTFs.

We were supplied with a new custom PTF for this so we are testing that PTF
now.

Notes rip error from Domino iSeries

Anyone get this error? CPF2526 -Job message queue for
031160/QNOTES/Server can not be extended. Job ended.

We loaded a new bacth of V5R2 PTFs and all of a sudden our servers are
ending bouncing every few minutes abnormally witth a RIP file that
contains very little info.

PTFs PTF Group Level Status
 SF99519 123 Installed

Messages in QSYSOPR MSGQ indicates that a Domino job with message id
CPF2526 - Job message queue for 031160/QNOTES/UPDALL can not be extended.
Job ended.

Apparently the resoultion is to upgrade Domino version to 6.04

The problem was tracked to the iSeries implementation of the C++ runtime
try/catch/throw processes. The iSeries job message queue was filled with
*STATUS messages used by the C++ runtime environment.

A compiler change was made in version 6.04 to remove the old STATUS
messages once the C++ catch was invoked.

IBM Just gave us a new PTF for this...........

We extendded the job message queues in the Jobd for Domino from to 64MB
to help stop mitigate the issue.

Have this one Domino partition that's been around for a LONG time. I
think the history was:
NT on IXS. Notes 4.x
NT on standalone PC
Native 400, now up to Domino 6.0.3

Server did an autostart today. (Separate pmr.) As part of that restart
it sent me a server notification. Ok. But at the bottom of that restart
was a notes.rip attachment. Evidently I have some stuff to clean up on my

server. Now I just have to figure out what. The data in the .rip
attachment was back from the mid to late 90's.

That must be one large RIP file. :-) Are you looking for help with
deciphering the file? If so, head for the bottom of the file and look for
the word "fatal." That should give you a start on what caused it. If you
are looking for cleanup tasks, my office could use some help. :-) You may
have a lot of NSD files on that server, the older ones can go. Not sure
what else is in the \data folder, but there could be a bunch of debug*.txt

files, tmp files, etc.

HTH.

Not interested in interpreting it. Judging by the date, there can't be
any current information in it:
Data change date/time . . . . . . . . : 12/11/98 22:26:07

Just want to know what I have to clean up this old crap so that Domino
doesn't even THINK of sending me obsolete stuff like this. Like, is there

a notes.ini parameter that says to attach a rip file.

Because, pun intended, I don't give a rip.
