Glad you found it.

We've been experiencing frequent hangs with our mail server at 6.5.4. It's
been the kind of hang that only affects Notes clients (http, smtp, pop,
imap all continue to work) we just get the CLOSE-WAITs for port 1352 and
clients/servers can't connect to the mail server. I have a mail, app, and
IM servers on our iSeries and the only one that hangs is the mail server.
I've been working with Lotus support (PMR 67977,499) and we were thinking
it may have been TCP PTF issues because we were a little behind (long
story on why we haven't IPLed in a while...). After applying the "latest"
TCP fixes (we ordered them on 4/11/05 and by the time we had IPLed there
were already like 7 more with another 5 co-requisites!) we've only had one
hang. I also applied several of the newer ones and after that no hangs.

Lotus support did tell me that there may be some router issues they're
working on with 6.5.4 and that could also be our problem since this is
only happening on our mail server.
