I could be wrong, but if you were to get a bounce back, it should have
popped up when your server either a) accepted the message to be delivered,
or b) when your server attempted to connect to the other SMTP server.
Seeing neither error would lead me to believe that this message was sent
properly.

Strange, though. Rebooting the server *may* have done something to help
your issue.
