I do believe that we did have BRMS loaded on this machine, as an evaluation, some time ago. You know, I use iSeries Navigator - Application Development to blow away shared memory or semaphore sets owned by QNOTES when the domino servers are down, so why would it be so hard to determine if I can do the same for files in /tmp? Maybe I need to open a pmr to get the official IBM line. Frankly, I "think" the theory is that if your system is in a totally restricted state you should be able to clear the whole /tmp directory.
