Probably not. If it's like we were seeing, your Domino server is doing
everything it's supposed to do - except acknowledging receipt of the
message. The other server doesn't get a response, so it doesn't think the
send was successful, files it away for later, and tries again.

I would suggest trying to determine whether or not the the Domino server
is acknowledging the incoming messages. If not, why not? It could be a
network issue (we diagnosed ours because there were a high number of
errors on the switch where our Domino server attaches to the network) or
possibly a issue with the iSeries. I missed what version of OS/400 (or
i5/OS or whatever it is called) that your iSeries is on. Has that changed
recently? In our case, we recently went from V5R2 to V5R3, followed
shortly thereafter by our issue.

You are welcome to attempt the IPL, but I would recommend getting the
latest PTFs and verifying your network connectivity, too.

Patrick

Re: SMTP tasks on AS400 very high

Thanks. It keeps sending ( I Know for a fact because I am the recipient!)
I keep receiving. I ended router and SMTP and restarted but that did not
help . Would rebooting the Notes server help?
